Due to the many expresses of interest from third-party innovators, INTERRFACE organized one more Info Session on the Open Call to answer all the remaining and reoccuring questions both on the technical and the content side. The session took place on 31 May 12.30-15.30 CET.

To pave the way for a potential future upscaling of the core development of INTERRFACE, the project consortium developed the Roadmap. This deliverable maps all the challenges and barriers for the Interoperable pan-European Grid Services Architecture (IEGSA) from a technical, market, regulatory and economic point of view.

The document also provides a compact overview of the learnt lessons of all the 7 demonstrators of the project, including the ones which were dealing with congestion management and balancing, with a pan-Eu clearing market, and with peer-to-peer trading.

The need for grasping benefits from market based flexibility, especially from demand side and distributed generation is more evident than ever.

We have been elaborating a regional approach, while understanding that individual solutions are not sufficient to address energy security, high energy prices and climate changes. Project partners presented the results of the INTERRFACE demonstrator with outlook to the next steps in OneNet project.

The 4-year journey of the INTERRFACE is coming to an end: the project held its final event on 7 December 2022, 9.00-13.30.

The public conference provided an excellent opportunity to present most impactful outcomes of the project, like the experience with the core product, the Interoperable pan-European Grid Services Architecture (IEGSA) and the Roadmap to exploit it. Besides presenting the results, INTERRFACE consortium used this opportunity to open discussions with its most relevant external stakeholders (eg. European Commission, Regulators, other H2020 projects).

The OPEN DEI community published its latest report on Data Spaces for Energy, Home and Mobility. The new report is based on findings of projects - such as INTERRFACE - which are part of OPEN DEI, and are working in the field of data exchange.

The rationale for the report is the new Digitalization of Energy Action Plan of the European Commission, which puts the concept of Energy Data Spaces in the center point.

INTERRFACE helps connect the dots between all parties across the entire electricity value chain through the design of an Interoperable pan-European Grid Services Architecture (IEGSA). Acting as an interface between transmission and distribution network operators, it introduces standardised ways of market operation, service design and procurement - states the recent article on the website of European Commission's project database, Cordis.

A Hungarian team, representing INTERRFACE was selected as the best poster exhibitors at the 20th International Conference on Renewable Energy and Power Quality.

The event, held in Vigo, Spain between 27-29 July 2022 is home of a European discussion for research work related to renewable energy and power quality.
